Background to Situational Knowledge Profiler (SKP)
This cognitive mapping tool offers a unique insight into the
way individuals use their knowledge, skills and attitudes in
different work situations.
It offers traffic light guidance and addresses blockages that affect peoples' attitudes to change.
Widely used across many different sectors in the UK and across Europe, SKP identifies how an individual can best use their knowledge, skills and atittudes in a variety of work situations

The results from the questionnaire are shown in a map that highlights:
- Valuable information for performance improvement, knowledge sharing and successful networking initiatives
- Tangible examples to help knowledge workers learn how to use what they know
- Information for trainers, managers, business coaches, educators and mentors to use prior to learning activities or during review meetings
- A starting point for reflective practice that can be self-directed or guided by a coach, trainer or manager
- Comparisons between own scores and professional norms (European set)
- A clear graphical analysis of the interdependency between what you know, your skills and your behaviour at work in various situations
- A basis upon which user can build networking groups and collaborative partnerships
- Benchmarking information priot to and/or during organisational change
